Lidwien Suur

Executive Board Achmea

Lidwien Suur joined Achmea's Executive Board in September 2019. She is responsible for the divisions Damage & Income, Centraal Beheer, Interpolis and Distribution, Innovation & Brand.

Lidwien studied International Business at Maastricht University and began her career in 1998 at ING/Nationale-Nederlanden. There she held various positions, including director of Income Insurance and program director of Strategy.

She held the position of Managing Director of Unigarant and ANWB Verzekeren from early 2012 and was part of the ANWB Executive Board since 2014. In 2016, she became CFO of ANWB.

Lidwien is a statutory director of Achmea Schadeverzekeringen N.V. In addition, she is a member of the Supervisory Board of Achmea Reinsurance Company N.V., a member of the Supervisory Board of InShared and chairman of the Supervisory Board of N.V. Hagelunie. She is also a board member of the Achmea Innovation Fund B.V. and vice president of the board of Interamerican Greece. In addition, Lidwien is a member of the Supervisory Board of Paleis Het Loo.

I believe in the power of balance - between people, values and perspectives. I also see the positive results of this in practice. That is why I am proud to contribute to WIFS' mission to further increase diversity and equality in the financial world.
